Today when I came home from school, I saw my little brother's cherry tomatoes. They were filled with green little tomatoes, hanging on the tomato branches like green lanterns. Looking from top to bottom, the leaves on top were tender and small, resembling little palms. But on closer inspection, they didn't really look like it, maybe a bit like a puppy's tail. Every time I looked at it, it seemed to be something different. In the middle of the tomato branches, there were a few half-green, half-red tomatoes, with colors gradually transitioning. Some of the small tomatoes hid behind the leaves, but I could easily spot them. I pushed aside the leaves, and the shy tomatoes blushed immediately. The leaves underneath had turned slightly yellow, but all the tomatoes below had turned red. I picked one, washed it clean, and savored it with delight. It was sweet and quite delicious. |
